Metric Nuts

The Westfield Fasteners range of metric nuts is presented below. These are designed to be used in conjunction with the equivalent sized metric bolts, screws and washers. Care must be taken when selecting the correct nut to purchase, as we offer left handed thread and fine pitch variants, as well as various materials and finishes. Please see the table to the right of this text to identify the perfect material for your application. Each item is typically available in either box or sachet quantity for despatch from our warehouse today, please note stock expectation when compiling your order!
Fastener Material Key
A1
A1 Stainless Steel - Also known as grade 303. A general purpose grade of stainless steel but with better fabrication/machining properties than grade 304.
A2
A2 Stainless Steel - Also known as grade 304 or 18/8. A general purpose grade of stainless steel.
A4
A4 Stainless Steel - Also known as grade 316 or 18/8/3. A higher corrosion resistant, marine grade of stainless steel.
A4-80
A4-80 Stainless Steel - Identical corrosion resistance to A4-70 but with a higher tensile strength equivalent to that of 8.8 high tensile steel.
Alum
Aluminium - Aluminium is a lightweight, strong and corrosion resistant material. As the temperature lowers, aluminium actually increases in strength. It is also non-magnetic, carries a current and does not spark easily.
BO
Black Oxide Class 12+ High Tensile Steel - A high tensile non-stainless grade with a black oxide finish offering limited corrosion resistance.
BRASS
Brass - Offers an attractive, corrosion resistant finish.
BZP
Bright Zinc Plated (BZP) Steel - Non-stainless standard steel grade offering a basic level of corrosion resistance.
BZP-10
Bright Zinc Plated (BZP) Class 10 High Tensile Steel - A higher tensile non-stainless grade for nuts, with a basic level of corrosion resistance.
BZP-8
Bright Zinc Plated (BZP) Class 8 High Tensile Steel - The general purpose high tensile grade for nuts, offering a basic level of corrosion resistance.
Copper
Copper Alloy - Copper has good corrosion resistance and high tensile strength, allowing it to withstand high-pressure and high temperature conditions. It is a highly ductile and malleable material, enabling copper washers to create tighter seals and withstand vibration better than steel. Copper also provides excellent thermal and electrical conductivity.
Duplex
Duplex Stainless Steel 1.4462 - A type of stainless steel which has greater corrosion resistance than A4 / 316 and a high tensile strength of minimum 700 N/mm2. Also known as 318LN.
Nylon
Plastic (Nylon Polyamide) - A tough lightweight plastic, strong at low temperatures, with excellent resistance to chemicals, and features favourable sliding friction behaviour.
PE-Blk
Plastic (Black Polylethylene) - Has good barrier properties and good chemical resistance against acid, greases, and oil.
PE-White
Plastic (White Polyethylene) - Has good barrier properties and good chemical resistance against acid, greases, and oil.
ZnFlk-8
Organic Zinc Flake Coated Class 8 High Tensile Steel - A high tensile non-stainless grade for screws and bolts and nuts. Coated with superior mechanically applied zinc with corrosion resistance lasting 480 hours in the salt spray test.
