Lanfranco All Metal Prevailing Torque Nut - ESL Type. Lanfranco branded ESL prevailing torque nuts are duel slotted, all metal, self locking hex nuts. Designed to withstand high levels of vibration, shock and extreme temperatures. Even when made in stainless steel, the prevailing torque nuts will resist thread galling and damage to the thread. As the nut is tightened onto the bolt, the locking slots in the the turret section will expand, gripping the bolts flanks evenly over two planes on opposite sides.
