Nyloc Nuts

NyLoc Nuts or Nylon Insert Nuts are a type of Lock Nut containing a nylon collar which elastically deforms when a threaded fastener is inserted, causing a frictional locking action, and are very popular. Referred to worldwide as Nyloc Nuts we have several variants in Metric and Imperial sizes, with A2 and A4 grades of stainless steel as well as low carbon, high tensile steels. Nyloc nuts can be re-used but care must be taken, if perhaps where the failure of a nut would be critical, its locking operation must be assured before use.
Material Key
A2
A2 Stainless Steel - also known as grade 304 or 18/8. A general purpose grade of stainless steel.
A4
A4 Stainless Steel - also known as grade 316 or 18/8/3. A higher corrosion resistant, marine grade of stainless steel.
BRASS
Brass - offers an attractive, corrosion resistant finish.
BZP
Bright Zinc Plated (BZP) Steel - non-stainless standard steel grade offering a basic level of corrosion resistance.
BZP-10
Bright Zinc Plated (BZP) high tensile steel class 10 - a higher tensile non-stainless grade for nuts, with a basic level of corrosion resistance.
BZP-8
Bright Zinc Plated (BZP) high tensile steel class 8 - the general purpose non-stainless grade for nuts, offering a basic level of corrosion resistance.
