DIN 436 - Square Plate Flat Washers

This product guide contains the specification for metric square plate flat washers, a series of standard parts available from Westfield Fasteners. The basis of this specification is the DIN standard DIN 436.

Product Description

Robust flat washer with a large square external shape rather than the more usual round. Often used in timber construction and in applications at risk of seismic activity.

Scope of the DIN standard

DIN 436 details the specifications for square washers and specifies the dimensions and tolerances for sizes from M10 up and to including M52. These square plate flat washers are available in carbon steel and stainless steel variants. For any other materials similar dimensions would be used.
